New Book: “From the Family Kitchen”

“Food. I know what you’re thinking. What does food have to do with genealogy? For me, the real question is why doesn’t everyone include food traditions in their family history?”

The above is from the introduction to From the Family Kitchen: Discover Your Food Heritage and Preserve Favorite Recipes by Gena Philbert Ortega and Jacqueline Musser, just published in May by Family Tree Books. This is certainly an aspect of genealogy and family history that doesn’t often get mentioned.

For more on the book, see Lisa Louise Cooke’s YouTube interview with the author, or visit it at Amazon.com where you can “Look Inside.”
