Fold3 Surpasses 100 Million Images

Fold3, formerly known as Footnote, is one of the databases available at our Research Center. It’s on computer #2. It contains primarily U.S. military records, from the Revolutionary War through the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. They announced yesterday that the number of images in their database passed the 100 million mark. They also have records for veterans’ relatives such as widows’ pension records, and records for some who were not veterans, such as draft registration cards.

If you haven’t checked it yet, you might want to have a look. And even if you have, you might want to look again, as they’re continually adding records. The databases at the Research Center are one of the main benefits of your SCVGS membership.
