I’m not a big fan of YouTube. There’s too much trivia on it, and it can be difficult to navigate. But it’s become large and influential enough that major genealogical organizations are having professionals prepare videos and upload them there. Ancestry.com, the National Genealogical Society (NGS), and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) all have YouTube “channels.” One video on how to use Ancestry has been viewed over 90,000 times. If you’d like more information, please see the new YouTube Channels section on our Links Page.

Thanks,
I would have never found this information on my own. I wouldn’t have known what to trust.
