The Green Valley Genealogical Society (GVGS) will meet March 24, 2011 – 1 to 3 PM. Not our usual meeting day.
Place: St. Francis in the Valley Episcopal Church, 600 S. La Cañada Drive, Green Valley.
Main Program: “Mystery of the Maiden Name” by Betty Malesky, C.G. Betty will provide clues to find maiden names of our ancestors. Betty is a Certified Genealogist, Past-President of the Green Valley Genealogical Society and is a member of the Assoc. of Professional Genealogists, New England Historic Genealogical Society, National Genealogical Society, and Society of Mayflower Descendants. She is the author of the very popular “Genealogy Today” column published in the Green Valley News and Sun. A native of northeastern Ohio, Betty became interested in genealogy as a teenager and has been actively pursuing her ancestry since 1963. She especially enjoys solving problems related to obscure women in her ancestry.
The short program speaker will be a surprise.
We are not a GRV organization, and our meetings are open to anyone interested in searching for their ancestors. Refreshments will be served.
