Our October General Meeting is this Tuesday the 11th at 1 p.m., in the Navajo Room in the Social Hall.
Guest Speaker: Barbara Salyer. Barbara is a genealogical instructor, speaker, author, and editor. She’s a native of Tucson and has been doing genealogical research for 40 years. Her topic is “Timelines: How to use them in you research.” Developing a timeline or chronology for your problem ancestor gives you a better chance of finding information you’re lacking, and differentiating individuals who look the same.
Dues for the 2012 calendar year: Dues may be paid at the meeting, and are $15 per person or $25 per household. Please make checks payable to “SCVGS.” You may give Treasurer Ken Jordan your check at the meeting, leave it in the Treasurer’s drawer at the club rooms, or mail it to him at 14516 N. Del Webb Blvd.
Beginners Class: The 2012 class will meet Friday afternoons in January and February (8 classes). Barbara Krecklow and Irma Franke will be the instructors. The fee is $15 per person to cover the cost of materials. Fees may be paid in the same way as dues, but please indicate on your check what it’s for. Barbara will have a sign-up sheet and additional information to share with us at the meeting. Enrollment is limited, so sign up early!
