John Cutler Eddy, husband of former club president Joan Phillips Eddy, passed away last Monday the 6th at the age of 90.
John was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He enlisted in 1942 and became a bomber pilot, flying B25s for the 486th Bombardment Squadron on missions in Italy. He was awarded the Purple Heart. After the war, he graduated from Yale University, in 1945. He worked for many years in textbook publishing in Evanston, Illinois, and retired from his position as editor in 1980.
John is survived by Joan, his loving wife of 44 years, and by his grandnephews F. Robert Greene III and Cutler Spaulding Greene. His cherished canine companion Gracie will miss him too.
