Legacy SIG Wednesday: 1940 Census Tool

The Legacy SIG will meet this Wednesday the 21st from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Apache Room in the Vistoso Center.

Millennia came out with an exciting new update to Legacy software, with a new Census Search tool. This can help you find those persons in your database that would be in the 1940 census. Using this search tool for the 1940 US Census is especially helpful for finding your ancestors in the 1940 census since there is not an index to search by name as of yet. No one will see the 1940 census until April 2 and that includes Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, Heritage Quest and other sites where we usually find our ancestors. We will help you learn how to use this new tool in this month’s SIG. You are welcome to bring your laptop and try this tool on your own files.

All SCVGS members are welcome to attend, but please let me know if you are coming. This helps us set up the room to accommodate everyone.
