Tuesday: Patti Albaugh on Genealogy Holiday Letters

Welcome back for our new fall season! Our first meeting is Tuesday October 9th at 1 p.m. in the Navajo Room in the Social Hall.

Patti Albaugh is our guest speaker. Patti is the President of the SaddleBrooke Genealogy Club. She has a Ph.D. from Ohio State University and taught in the Education Department at Otterbein College for 18 years. Her topic is “Turning Those Christmas Letters Into Something Worth Reading: Genealogy!” She’ll show us how to use a program like Microsoft Word to create a family genealogy newsletter. Click here for a copy of her handout.

Shirley Dubansky, our new Treasurer, will start accepting dues at the meeting for the 2013 calendar year. New members who join now will have their memberships start immediately, and run through December of next year.

Refreshments will be served at the end of the meeting instead of the middle, and the chairs rearranged, to give members an opportunity to catch up with one another after the summer break. Thanks to Shirley Nelson, Melba Niemuth, Sue Huffer, and Bonnie McGregor for their work on this special hospitality session.
