German Resources and a Short History of the German Empire is the title of Steve Packer’s presentation, at our regular monthly meeting this Tuesday the 13th at 1 in Navajo.
Steve volunteers three days a week at the well-known Mesa FamilySearch Library (formerly the Mesa Regional FHC), which our Beginners Class visits. He’s made several trips to Germany to search for family records that haven’t been digitized. He’ll tell us what we need to know to find our German ancestors, a task complicated by the varying boundaries of Germany and the German Empire over the course of history.
Shirley Dubansky will be accepting dues for the 2013 calendar year ($15/person, $25/duo) from those who’d like to pay early. Refreshments will be served after the business meeting and before Steve’s presentation, as usual.
