Ancestry.com is offering free access to its U.S. Immigration Collection, or parts of it, through Sunday the 17th. The free parts include Passenger List, Border Crossing, and Passport databases. These are available at the club rooms but this weekend you can use them from home without a subscription. Thanks to Mary Barr for letting me know about this.

Legacy Family Tree has a recent webinar available for free through the 20th. It’s a bit specialized: many Irish emigrated to Scotland in the mid-19th century, and the Poor Law records of Scotland contain a wealth of information on thousands of Irish immigrants.
