Two more books have been donated to our club library:

• “First Marriage Record of Augusta County Virginia 1785-1813” (Clearfield, 2009, 76pp.) was compiled by the Col. Thomas Hughart chapter of the D.A.R. in Augusta County. It lists the parties to the marriage, the date, and the person performing the ceremony. The marriages are listed chronologically but there’s a name index. This is shelved in US/Virginia.
• “Tracing Ancestors in Barbados: a practical guide” (Genealogical Publishing, 2006, 155 pp.) is by Geraldine Lane. Its 19 chapters detail the various sources for family history records for Barbados. It may be found on our “Foreign” shelf.
