A quick reminder, especially for summer vacationers: You manage your own subscription to our mailing list. This allows you to turn it off and back on, if for example you’re going on a cruise and want to minimize your email backlog.
At the bottom of each message (including this one) there’s text that looks like this:
If you click on “Unsubscribe” (at the bottom of this email, not in the picture), you can remove yourself from the list. Then you can put yourself back on when you return. If you click on Manage Subscriptions, you can set your delivery frequency to Weekly. This has the advantage that you don’t have to put yourself back on the list when you return. (You subscribe or re-subscribe by going to our website and entering your email address in the box in the right side bar, and clicking the button.)
This is the way most mailing lists work nowadays. The older model, where you ask an admin to put you on or take you off, has declined for various reasons.
