Changes to Ancestry.com

Ancestry.com has made some changes to its user interface. If you just use Ancestry to search its databases, the changes are minor and cosmetic. If you have a subscription to Ancestry and keep your family tree there, you’ll see major changes. There’s a completely new “Lifestory” view, for example. This focuses on one person but presents a timeline, pulling in historical events, events in the life of other family members, and photos that you’ve uploaded. They hope this will make it easier to share information with your non-genealogist relations. For an introduction to the new interface, see Crista Cowan’s 25-minute YouTube video: Navigating the new Ancestry.
