Joan Allen and I thought we’d try an experiment. For July and August, I’ve changed our club’s room calendars at SignUp Genius so that:

• There are two morning slots, 8 to 10 and 10 to noon;
• The afternoon is unchanged with one slot from 1 to 3;
• There are no meeting slots since we don’t need them in the summer.

The purpose of this is to encourage AM volunteering. We’ve only had one so far in June. If you’d like to do 9 AM to noon, I’d suggest checking both morning slots and putting in a note that you’ll start at 9. If you’d like to see the new July calendar, click here.

This is just a summer experiment. Given the hot afternoons and absence of Daylight Savings Time, it seems to make sense to shift the summer schedule earlier. (The Welcome Center opens at 7:30.)
