Our club’s Mac OS X has been updated to El Capitan. The download took a while and so did the install, but everything’s working now. The Macworld review says El Capitan is “solid as a rock.”

With Windows 10 I’ve decided to wait and see. I’m persuaded by this InfoWorld review last month which asserts “Thus far, there is simply no compelling reason to switch from Windows 7.” Sometime next summer the free upgrade offer expires, but my plan now is to wait until the last minute before making a decision.
