Hackers are Bad, but “Hacks” can be Good

Hackers are bad, but “hacks” can be good—by which we mean technological tricks that make your genealogical life easier or simply more enjoyable. These favorite online genealogy “hacks” make websites do things you didn’t know they could do, speed up your research, or even combine the capabilities of multiple websites and tech tools. Some hacks can also save you money on subscription websites, by paying as you go or ferreting out free databases.

David Fryxell is our genealogy speaker October 10. Yes, we are having a different speaker then previously advertised. “Hack” is an interesting topic to open our eyes. Please join us in the Navajo Room, 1 PM.

  1. Bonnie Vastag says:

Is there any chance of getting his handout if he has one – or posting it. We won’t be back for this meeting, but it sounds great!

  2. Darwin says:

If there are handouts, they will be available in the folder carrier outside the computer room after his talk.
