John Grenham is the author of “Tracing Your Irish Ancestors,” now in its 3rd edition and available at our club library. Recently he had an Ancestry DNA test done, and writes about it in his blog post “Ancestry DNA.” It’s the best short explanation I’ve seen of the Ancestry DNA test’s strengths and weaknesses. It’s also very entertaining (“… treacherous Brit fingernails…”). He concludes the test is well worth the price.
This blog, by the way, is relatively new. Grenham wrote a column for The Irish Times for years but recently they parted ways. His post about that is “The crocodile got dentures.”
